OHMSCOUT / ELECTRICAL SHOP COMPARISON

ServiceM8 vs Jobber.

Both cover quotes, scheduling and invoices. Start with the work you need to connect, then compare job allowances, users and the plan you would actually buy.

ServiceM8

Job details & field handoff

The job list, map and phone schedule connect a visit to its time and address.

We have not personally tested this workflow yet.

Consider ServiceM8 first when…

Your helper needs one place for the address, notes and photos. Paid plans include unlimited users; the quote/job-card allowance changes by plan.

Check before choosing: Your monthly card count and the tasks your crew must do on iPhone or Android.

Jobber

Quote approval & customer handoff

Approved → Convert to Job. The scope and deposit are visible before the work is scheduled.

We have not personally tested this workflow yet.

Consider Jobber first when…

An approved quote needs to become scheduled work without rebuilding the details. Compare included users and feature tiers against your team.

Check before choosing: Whether the forms, costing and accounting tools you need belong to the plan you can afford.

These are starting points for your trial, not exclusive capabilities or a hands-on verdict. Run the same job in both.

Same shop. Same assumptions.

One user, 20 new quote/job cards, scheduling and quotes/invoices, iPhone and Android, monthly billing without an annual commitment.

This example is for a solo service shop: 20 new quote/job cards a month, scheduling, quotes and invoices, iPhone and Android, and monthly billing with no annual commitment. Change these assumptions before choosing a plan.

Each question has both products underneath, in the same left-to-right order.

How these costs are calculated

Totals cover 12 paid subscription months, required users and known usage charges. Tax, payment processing, optional add-ons and temporary trial discounts are excluded. Annual prepayment and monthly billing with an annual commitment are different choices. A required charge without a known price keeps the total unknown. For job-card allowances, count unsuccessful quotes too.
